High School Transition – Gifted

We thank our guidance counsellor, Kevin Williams for his presentation on Modnay night. It was so wonderful to see so many of you at the presentation. There were some questions around the High School for students in the Gifted Program. We have looked into this question and are now sharing this link with you http://www.tdsb.on.ca/Find-your/School/Gifted-Program-School-Finder

You can access this link, put in your address and you will learn of your designated High School for the Gifted Program.

Photo Day

Photo retake day is on Monday. We will also be taking our class photos on Monday. Looking forward to seeing the smiles!

Halloween Fun

On Friday, October 26th, we will be having our first school dance for the school year! We cannot wait! If your child would rather participate in a different school activity, we will have other options available.

All students are encouraged to wear black and orange on Friday, the 26th of October.

Halloween costumes will be worn on October 31st. Please remember, masks, weapons, light sabres and inappropriate costumes, for school, are not permitted.

Safety

We thank you for keeping our neighbourhood safe. Please remember to drop off students a few blocks away from the school, to ease congestion on Fenn Avenue.

We ask that you continue to keep traffic flowing, by staying in your vehicle at all times. Please drop your child and continue to drive out of the congestion. Please do not leave your vehicle parked and unattended.

We thank you for your ongoing cooperation.

School Council

It was so great to see so many parents out at our School Council meeting last night! We are excited to have welcomed the new council representatives for the 2018-2019 school year and we thank our outgoing executive for the dedication they have shown to St. Andrew’s.

Please remember that all parents are welcome to join us at all Council meetings that occur throughout the year.

Donations

If you have lightly used decks of cards and/or board games that you would like to donate to the school, we would really appreciate it! On rainy days, these games will enhance their indoor recess experience.

If you have further questions, please contact our Vice Principal, Ryan Heritage at ryan.heritage@tdsb.on.ca
