Cuts for Cancer: in memory of Carley Allison

As a school community, we are looking to help make cancer history. Previous St. Andrew’s student Carley Allison, who bravely fought an extremely rare, clear-cell sarcoma, sadly passed away in March 2015. In our seventh campaign year, we are permanently renaming our Haircut campaign to “Cuts for Carley” in her honour.

Students, staff and the community are invited to donate hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. Donated hair needs to be at least 8″ long, or 12″ to donate specifically to wigs for children. A simple cut will be done in school by professional hairdressers. To participate, please print the Cuts participant form 2015 and return it to Mr. Della-Schiava or Ms. Wong by June 17.

Following the cuts, student Jack W will have his head shaved in support of the campaign.

Haircuts will take place on the SAJH stage at 8:30 a.m. on June 22nd. Family and students are welcome to attend. Students who have donated will be excused from class to attend.
