We have kicked off our annual Cuts for Cancer campaign! As a school community, we are looking to help make cancer history. Our goal this year is to raise $3000 and cut 15 ponytails. We came very close last year, and hope to push over the $3000 mark.
Students, staff and the community are invited to donate hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. Donated hair needs to be at least 8″ long, or 12″ to donate specifically to wigs for children. It takes a number of ponytails to make each wig, so we hope to see many people participating this year! The haircuts will be done in school by professional hairdressers. To participate, please print the participant form and return it to Ms. Greenspoon or Ms. Wong.
If we make our goal of $3000 our Design & Tech teacher, Mr. Della-Schiava will have his head shaved! AND every student who donates their change – or their hair! – will be entered into a raffle; the successful draw winner will be the one to shave Mr. D!
Along with collecting spare change, proceeds from the upcoming school Talent Show will go towards our Cancer fundraising. More details and online donations are available at http://yep.it/sajh2014
